Dragons love tacos by Adam Rubin

Other book suggestions:

Me and my dragon by David Biedrzycki

ASL Sign of the Week:
Dragon

If you're a dragon and you know it (stomp your feet, swing your tail, give a roar)

Fly Dragon Fly (modified from Johnson County Library, to the tune of "Skip to My Lou")
Fly, fly, fly dragon fly!
Fly, fly, fly dragon fly!
Fly, fly, fly dragon fly!
Fly around with me!

Dragon, Dragon (from Sunflower Storytime)
Dragon, dragon turn around.
Dragon, dragon, touch the ground.
Dragon, dragon fly so high.
Dragon, dragon touch the sky!

Dragon Pokey (version of Hokey Pokey)
You put your right claw in,
You put your right claw out,
You put  your right claw in,
And you shake it all about,
You do the Dragon Pokey
and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about.
(other verses can include left claw, tail, dragon self, etc)

All around the castle walls (from Sturgis Kids, with parachute, to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel)
All around the castle walls,
The knight chased the dragon.
The knight thought was all in fun,
"Roar!"  went the dragon!

Craft: We made dragon puppets out of a printable pattern and paper lunch bags.

Literacy tip of the week: Coloring and crafts help build the fine motor skills your child will need when they learn to write.
