Literacy tip of the week: Your baby is never to young for you to read to them. Baby brains are developing so quickly from the beginning, and books only help to build the connections they are making.

Leaves are falling, (wiggle fingers and move hands towards floor)

To the ground.(touch ground)

Way up high in the apple tree (modified from Literary Commentary)
Way up high in the apple tree, (lift arms)
10 little apples smiled at me!
I shook that tree as hard as I could, (shake back and forth)
Down came the apple, (wave hands towards ground)
Boy was it good!

Craft: We decorated "apples" made out of torn paper and paper plates.

Literacy tip of the week: Daily reading time doesn't have to last long. Even 15 minutes can make a big difference in your child's development.
