Literacy tip of the week: Learning about numbers through books and rhymes helps kids understand sequences. This comes in handy later on when they must understand the order of events in a story.

Literacy tip of the week: Change up the tune to familiar songs as you sing with your child. It is a great way to add some variety and impart new information.

We decorated parrots with torn paper and feathers.  

Literacy tip: Talking about the illustrations of a story helps your child realize that books are illustrated in all different ways. It also draws their attention to how the pictures help tell the story.
