Virtual Storytimes
Our library's storytimes are currently canceled during our closure due to COVID-19, but I wanted to make sure to let you know that I am offering virtual storytimes during this time on our library's Facebook page. Baby Storytime 3/12/20
Book read:
Chicken, chicken, duck! by Nadia Krilanovich
On our way to the farm (modified from Storytimes and More, to the tune of "Here we go round the Mulberry Bush")
Here we go marching down the road, down the road,
Here we go marching down the road, on our way to the farm today!
Additional verses can include: running, tiptoeing, stomping, flying, etc.
We Hit the Floor Together (to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell", from Abby Librarian)
We hit the floor together,
We hit the floor together,
We hit the floor together,
Because it's fun to do!
Repeat with different actions: clap hands, nod heads, sway side to side, say hello, etc.
Wheels on the bus
I'm a little cuckoo clock
Tick tock, tick tock, (rock baby back and forth)
I'm a little cuckoo clock.
Tick tock, tick tock,
It's one o'clock! (lift baby once)
Tick tock, tick tock,
I'm a little cuckoo clock.

It's two o'clock! (lift baby twice)

Literacy tip of the week: Reading animatedly and with inflection will help keep your baby's attention.

Parade of Elephants Storytime 3/10/20 and 3/11/20

The elephants go marching (version of the Ants Go Marching)
The elephants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!
The elephants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!
The elephants go marching one by one, the little one stops, says "This is fun!"
And they all go marching down to the ground, to get out of the rain.
