Quiet as can be,
And SNAPPED a monkey right out of the tree! (snap both hands together)

Four little monkeys swinging in a tree, (swing 4 fingers back and forth)

And SNAPPED a monkey right out of the tree!

Itsy Bitsy Monkey (from Preschool Education)
The itsy bitsy monkey climbed up the coconut tree.
Down came a coconut and hit him on his knee.
Out came a lion shaking his mighty mane.
And the itsy bitsy monkey, climbed up the tree again!

Craft: We glued yellow paper to decorate a banana cut out.

Literacy tip of the week: When reading with your child ask them to make predictions about what will happen in the story. This is a great way to build their understanding of a book and encourage their storytelling skills.
