How many friends are here today,
At storytime to read and play?

Numbers Jump
I'm a little cuckoo clock (from KCLS)
Tick tock, tick tock, (rock back and forth)
I'm a little cuckoo clock!
Tick tock, tick tock,
It's one o'clock!
CUCKOO! (jump once)
Tick tock, tick tock,
I'm a little cuckoo clock!
Tick tock, tick tock,
It's two o'clock!
CUCKOO! CUCKOO! (jump twice)
Five Little Ducks
Five little ducks went out to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck called "Quack, Quack, Quack!"
And only 4 little ducks came back.
Four little ducks went out to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck called "Quack, Quack, Quack!"
And only 3 little ducks came back.
Three little ducks went to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck called "Quack, Quack, Quack!"
And only 2 little ducks came back.
Two little ducks went out to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck called "Quack, Quack, Quack!"
And only 1 little duck came back.
One little duck went out to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck called "Quack, Quack, Quack!"
And all of the little ducks came back!
Counting as we bounced a beach ball on our parachute
Craft: We decorated number templates with torn paper.
Literacy tip of the week: Learning about numbers involves important concepts that kids will need to build on when they are learning about the sequence of events of a story.
