If you're wearing red today (to the tune of "The Muffin Man", from Green Bean Teen Queen)
If you're wearing red today,

If you're wearing red today,
Stand up and say "Hooray!"
(repeat with other colors)

Bouncing, Bouncing (adapted from NIEHS)
Bouncing, bouncing (bounce)
Hop, hop, hop! Hop, hop, hop!
Bouncing, bouncing bouncing,
Bouncing, bouncing,
Now we stop! (stop)
Other actions can include clapping, stomping, flying, etc. 

Bubblegum (to the tune of "Lollipop" by the Chordettes, from SLC Book Boy)
Bubblegum, bubblegum,
Sticky, sticky, bubblegum.
Bubblegum!  (stick hands to various  body parts)

Wash your hands (with scarves, from Bayviews Storytimes)
Wash, wash, wash your hands,
Wash your hands today.
Rub and scrub, rub and scrub,
Germs go down the drain!
Continue with other body parts. 

Jack in the Box (with scarves, from Jbrary)
Jack in the box,
Sits so still.
Will he come out?
Yes he will!

Craft: We used craft feathers to decorate a template of a chicken.

Literacy tip of the week: When kids dance to songs that start and stop throughout they are practicing their self regulation skills. These skills are important to being able to focus and learn.
